Dear Client Family and Friends,
2020 has been a tough year all around. Our physical, mental, and spiritual health has been challenged by the coronavirus pandemic. If you are like me, you are ready for COVID-19 to be put in its place. We long for the days of no more quarantines, masks, and endless handwashing. Despite the circumstances, I think we all have “something” for which we can express gratitude.
When I was pulling Thanksgiving Trivia for our family’s Thanksgiving Zoom, I came across an online article by Mary Liles about “50 Fun Family Thanksgiving Games to Play with Your Favorite Turkeys After the Feast”. Activity Number 4, the Thankfulness Basket, was a different way of giving thanks and I thought it might be worth sharing. She suggested that everyone write down on a piece of paper one thing for which they are grateful. Put all the pieces of paper into a wicker basket and pass it around. Each person draws out a piece of paper and reads the “gratitude”. The game part comes in when you try to guess who wrote the gratitude on the piece of paper you drew. You can check out all 50 ideas at https://parade.com/1058964/marynliles/thanksgiving-games/
If we were doing the Thankfulness Basket activity, I would write down that one of the things for which I am most grateful is YOU. However your family observes the day, I wish you and yours a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving celebration and a day filled with an abundance of blessings from above.
Happy Thanksgiving!
